The Half Loop Tour

This tour starts at the Bandstand in Kilkee and winds down quiet country roads to Poulnasherry Bay, Blackweir Bridge and Mount Pleasant before heading on towards Querrin and Doonaha taking in the incredible wildlife and stunning scenery of the lower Shannon Estuary. Listen to fantastic, but true, stories of the ferry tragedy at Cammóg, pitched battles between neighboring tribes, historic houses, and how Querrin village was an economic powerhouse in the last century.
From Doonaha, home to Eugene O Curry, we will turn inland heading for the wilder side of the peninsula through quiet bog roads towards the Atlantic coastline with its incredible views of dramatic clifftop scenery and fantastic stories of Hungry Bishops, Holy Wells and shipwrecks on the gentle spin back to Kilkee.
